Neurogastroenterology
Symptoms attributed to suspected motility disorders are the most commonly reported symptoms in the field of Gastroenterology and our center focuses on both common conditions (such as gastroesophageal reflux and constipation) as well as more rare conditions with potentially severe manifestations (such as gastroparesis and scleroderma). Some of the key diseases seen by our group include the following:
• Achalasia
• Chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction
• Chronic nausea and vomiting
• Constipation
• Cyclic vomiting syndrome
• Dysphagia (problems swallowing)
• Dyspepsia
• Eosinophilic esophagitis
• Fecal incontinence
• Gastroesophageal reflux
• Gastroparesis
• Irritable bowel syndrome
Our team at Gastrocure aims to provide the best diagnostic and therapeutic options for all motility disorders, ranging from simple to most complex. We also have a dynamic research program which we hope will push the envelope in providing both better understanding of underlying mechanisms and more successful options for treatment.
